How to Install Windows 11 on VMware Workstation 16 Pro

Windows 11 needs TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot, which Workstation 16 Pro provides from version 16.2 onward.

1. Update to VMware Workstation 16.2 or later.
2. Create a new VM with Windows 11 x64 as the guest OS and select the Windows 11 ISO.
3. Give it at least 2 CPU cores, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of disk space.
4. In VM Settings > Options > Access Control, encrypt the VM (required for a virtual TPM).
5. In VM Settings > Hardware, click Add and choose Trusted Platform Module.
6. Start the VM and install Windows 11, then install VMware Tools.
